The Way of the Shepherd staff and Home and School Association will host a special Parent Information Night.

The evening will begin at 6:00 with an introduction to Montessori education and tour for prospective parents. If you know of a family that you would like to introduce to the school, please invite them to come early for the “new parents” part of the evening. Your enthusiastic promotion of the school is our best marketing!

 Then, plan to join us from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. when the directresses will present “Montessori Math” in each of the classrooms. Catechists will also be on hand in the Atrium to answer questions and present materials.

Children thrive in environments with a variety of ages. The younger students have role models to look up to, and the older students have an opportunity to demonstrate their leadership skills. All students have an opportunity to move through many levels of work – at their own pace. Preparing and maintaining such a classroom can be very challenging! Way of the Shepherd invites traditional educators who are contemplating taking on this challenge to “come and see” how beautifully multiage classrooms can work.

  1. Classroom observation and/or attend an Informational Montessori Presentation-Adults only
  2. Submit Application for Admission and $100.00 (non-refundable) processing fee. Make check payable to The Way of the Shepherd.
  3. Submit completed New Child Questionnaire.
  4. Possible interview between prospective student and teacher to assess:
    • readiness for the educational environment (primarily children new to the classroom/school)
    • determine appropriate grade level placement
  5. Upon acceptance, a Contract for Admission will be issued.
